Job Description

If so, this Information Technology (IT) Associate position may be the right job for you! As a premier fuel and hydraulic tank producer, The IFH Group, Inc. is a growing company and destination employer for professionals and skilled experts. The IT Associate I position is 100% on-site in Rock Falls, Illinois , and eligible for insurance benefits on the 1st day of the month following date of hire. IT Associate I supports the overall information systems planning, implementation, and administration in a variety of IT functional areas. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role provides support to end-users with an approachable demeanor while delivering solutions efficiency and effectively. Physical Demands:
Constant alternate sitting or standing at will with repetitious hand and finger movements to use and operate office machinery; detect, perceive, identify, observe, inspect, and assess information technology functions; move, transport, position, install, and/or remove hardware, wires, technical equipment, tools, and/or materials; express and exchange information in-person, via phone, and video conference. Frequent ascending/descending stairs with moving/traversing throughout building. Frequent positioning self to assess, troubleshoot, or maintain hardware and server(s), including under and around workstations and in server room. Occasional positioning self to reach overhead and at or below the shoulder; move and position objects up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
Primarily works in climate-controlled office setting with frequent movement between office and shop floor with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels at or above 100 decibels on average. Accessing the shop floor requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear while working on the shop floor requires additional personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety footwear with metatarsal guard. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree from accredited academic institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft 365: Fundamentals, and/or Google IT Support Professional certification(s); One (1) year previous work experience in IT or related field; or Combination of college coursework, certifications, and relevant work experience required. Experience working in manufacturing setting and using ERP highly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability and knowledge to use analytical skills while troubleshooting and monitoring IT systems. Ability, knowledge, and skill to recommend improvements for IT systems. Ability, knowledge, and skill to effectively and efficiently solve basic issues for end-usage. Ability and knowledge to apply basic skills for IT functional support. Ability to communicate effectively with knowledge and skill to translate technical information in laymen terms. Ability and knowledge to use and apply IT principles, critical thinking skills, sound judgement, and logical reasoning. Strong work ethic with integrity while prioritizing efficiency and accuracy. Ability, knowledge, and skill to maintain confidentiality. Ability, knowledge, and skill to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization as well as external stakeholders. Ability, knowledge, and skill to collaborate cross-functionally. Ability, knowledge, and skill to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Ability and willingness to learn and gain a deeper understanding of IT functional support and compliance standards. Ability and knowledge to apply skill and proficiency using and maintaining ERP system. Ability and knowledge to apply advanced skill and proficiency using and maintaining Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to code of conduct. Ability and willingness to work outside core business hours, including weekends and on-call, as business needs require. Ability and skill to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.
