Job Description

Overview The Energy Systems Analyst II is responsible for planning and independently performing most assignments with technical guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval of proposed project plans. Responsibilities include the ability to plan and conduct work requiring judgement in independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Responsibilities Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications. Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope. Performs mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc. Interacts in meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with senior level staff/project manager; prepares meeting notes. Reviews and analyzes drawings of mechanical systems for projects Assists the development team in the coordination with other discipline including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc. Attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems. Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities. Upholds company owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values. Directly supports Senior Level Staff in project scope creation, and can lead scope discussions independently with owners, clients, and senior level etc Supports the Energy Analyst III in the review of preliminary engineering deliverables for projects, including equipment inventories, energy conservation measures, scoping narratives, schematic drawings, definitive transaction document exhibits, etc. Actively participates in company initiatives to further refine development processes and tools. May train less experienced engineers and/or technicians while continuing to meet project deadlines Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four year ABET accredited university. 2-4 years of related experience. Experience with high level complex facility energy projects, with knowledge of Central Energy Plants and control systems. Required experience in Excel and Word. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Passion for quality and client satisfaction. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications Prefer 1-3 years of energy related client interface for an engineering design firm. Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field. Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings. Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)and obtained Engineering Intern License Participation in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities Travel Requirements 25-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical Activities Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles Climbing stairs. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools Environmental Conditions Noisy environment Physical Demands Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds Pay Range USD $73,437.10 - USD $98,101.30 /Yr.
