Job Description

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, is a premier advanced manufacturing facility that supports the safety, security, reliability and effectiveness of our nation's nuclear deterrent. Summary The HSE Engineer will support the KCNSC Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Division by performing data analysis, integration, and mapping activities, while also providing administration, configuration, and optimization support for Environmental Management Information Systems (EMIS) and Safety Management Information Systems (SMIS). This role combines analytical expertise with system administration to drive efficient decision‑making, strengthen compliance, and enhance HSE data visibility across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Translate business needs into actionable requirements and support the design, configuration, and implementation of data and system solutions Perform data analysis by querying datasets from various systems, databases, spreadsheets, semi‑structured data, and flat‑file formats to support performance evaluations and organizational metrics Document processes and develop training materials; train end‑users on running and interpreting reports or utilizing
EMIS/SMIS
components and modules Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve unexpected system results, data anomalies, or internal process issues. Prioritize and implement solutions that eliminate manual workflows and improve data efficiency and accuracy. Support and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and analytics using tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, and Power BI. Support configuration, administration, and optimization of Cority, Intelex, or similar HSE information systems. Gather, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources, producing moderate‑complexity reports and metrics supporting organizational objectives. Assist with information management projects involving data analysis, data mining, and data optimization methodologies. Develop, maintain, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring data and system processes. Cross‑train with team members and provide back‑up support as needed to ensure continuity of operations. You Must Have Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Fire Protection, Emergency Management or related field and four or more years' experience in HS&E Ability to travel up to 5% of the time Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business United States Citizenship Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations) We Value Experience acting as a system administrator and configuration specifically in Cority and/or Intelex Ability to work independently, guide the work of others and understand, interpret and implement safety standards and procedures Ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) in one-on-one situations and group settings Ability to document information and data clearly and concisely FMT2021 This job description/job posting is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
