Job Description

Cataler North America is seeking a Digital Transformation Specialist to join our team. This position is located at our automotive catalyst facility in Lincolnton, NC.
Position hours:
8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Job duties include but are not limited to: Work with a range of departments to identify current inefficient processes, operation bottlenecks, outdated technologies, and other areas of improvement. Determine appropriate solutions including third party products and services, workflow improvements, in-house created applications, or other improved processes. Propose new digital solutions to improve productivity and reduce manual work. Train new users and other key stakeholders in the implementation and correct usage of the new solution, ensuring smooth deployment and long-lasting support. Create appropriate documentation for new solutions that is tailored to the predicted audience and is clear, detailed, and up to date. Adequately plan and monitor project implementation and success metrics and report to management. Foster a culture of kaizen by continuing to identify and implement new solutions and processes. Be an engaging representative of the IT Department in dealings with individuals across the company; become a technical expert and supportive partner when interacting with team members and departments outside of the typical scope.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills with the ability to connect and collaborate with various levels of staff across the organization. The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize needs, meet deadlines, and communicate challenges and setbacks to management as needed. Possess sense of motivation and kaizen-mindset to innovate new solutions and continually improve existing guidelines and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. Technical understanding of computer systems and digital processes. Programming knowledge (especially C#, C++, Java, or Python) is preferred but not required. Understanding and experience with business processes such as ERP systems, EDI, logistics, etc. and how technology can positively impact operations is a plus. Manufacturing knowledge (such as APQP processes, TQM, and kaizen) is highly encouraged.
