Ideas become reality in our on-site fabrication shop, allowing employees to see every step of our product development from design through shipping. We are seeking an Engineering Configuration Specialist who will drive the processing of custom-engineered material handling and fall protection systems. This includes creating detailed technical layouts and documentation for quoting custom systems, and the development of engineering bills of materials (BOMs) to facilitate production. The candidate should be an individual with a curious mind and a desire to be part of the continuous evolution and improvement of our growing company. Primary Job Functions Generates bills of material, layouts, drawings and wiring diagrams specific to the customer and/or company needs Completes quality verification checks on generated data Responds to inquiries from other departments regarding product options and capabilities Manages workload and communicates potential delays in assigned tasks Draws and interprets wiring diagrams for motorized systems Reviews relevant warranty information as needed Provides feedback on potential design/process improvements Qualifications Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or other related technical field. Electromechanical product knowledge preferred 2+ years of technical experience, preferably in industrial products Proficiency with CAD software Exceptional organization skills Ability to work with remote teams Customer service focus Required Testing Mechanical Aptitude testing required Personality testing required Physical Requirements The position requires sitting for extended periods of time, occasionally talking to vendors and customers on the phone, and occasional trips into the factory to discuss components or projects with shop personnel.
