Company Description Job Description The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. DYCD supports New York City youth and their families by funding a wide range of high-quality youth and community development programs, including:

- Youth Workforce Development The Information Technology Department is looking for a Sr Systems Analyst to join the Data & Reporting team to assist in the Business Process Analysis.
- Apply business analysis methodologies to gather requirements
- Review, analyze and update requirements for completeness and obtain business/stakeholder sign off
- Develop and utilize standard templates/ format layouts to accurately and concisely write requirements.
- Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces based on user requirements
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers &/or project team.
- Manage and track the status of the requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
- To communicate changes, enhancements and modifications of business requirements
- Define the vision for the team's product
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize them based on changing requirements
- Develop user stories/product backlog items
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
- Liaise with the product team and end users to deliver updates
- Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
- Perform user acceptance testing to validate requirements &/or defect management
- Define reporting and alerting requirements
- Help design, document and maintain system processes
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
- Communicate key insights and finding to product team
- Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer.
- Assist in the tracking of documentation, including specifications, testing plans, installation/operational/performance qualifications, training plans, etc.
- Facilitate compliance with State and agency policies by developing requirements that will support those policies.
- Provide peer to peer support to other Systems Analyst and Quality Assurance Analyst team members.
- Assist in creating new business analysis standards and guidelines and in the adoption of new and emerging technologies and practices.
