Job Description
Position Purpose:
Support the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of vendor software and peripheral systems to ensure reliable day-to-day operations. Coordinate technology needs with third-party vendors to promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service continuity. Collaborate with internal leadership to research, evaluate, and implement technology solutions that enhance the member experience, support digital banking services, strengthen service delivery, and improve staff productivity across the organization.Job Responsibilities/Skills:
Install, configure, and support data communication systems; provide technical assistance and guidance to staff on the use and operation of core and ancillary systems. Research emerging technologies, equipment, and data processing methods; evaluate and recommend software upgrades aligned with organizational needs and budget. Develop and maintain system documentation in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring proper controls and audit readiness. Support and maintain digital banking platforms, including home banking and mobile services, ensuring system availability, security, and a positive member experience. Troubleshoot issues, coordinate updates with vendors, and assist in the implementation of enhancements and new features. Assist in evaluating, selecting, and procuring technology solutions and related supplies within approved budget parameters. Maintain oversight of software licensing to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and regulatory expectations. Stay current on software developments, cybersecurity risks, and technology trends relevant to credit union operations. Education and/orExperience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an IT support, systems administration, or financial institution technology environment. Experience supporting core processing systems, digital banking platforms, networks, and end-user environments; familiarity with Jack Henry systems (e.g., Symitar) is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with third-party vendors, including troubleshooting, coordinating upgrades, and managing service performance. Understanding of regulatory and compliance expectations within financial institutions (e.g., NCUA, FFIEC guidance) is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical staff. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.Physical Demands:
