This assignment focuses on leveraging advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop software tools that automate or semi-automate clinical trial data management processes. Interns will participate in designing and building innovative solutions to streamline tasks such as data cleaning, data capture, and database management, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Interns will collaborate closely with experienced data managers and clinical programmers to identify requirements, develop tools, and assist in rigorous testing and implementation. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to learn about clinical trial protocols, database development, data capture, and data cleaning processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, biomedical engineering, or a related technical field
Practical experience with open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic LLM frameworks
Strong foundational knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or similar cloud-based AI services is a plus
Proficiency in Python programming
Some experience with full-stack or user interface development (Streamlit, React, etc.)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proactive and self-driven attitude towards problem-solving and technology exploration
