We take our work seriously- not ourselves SUMMARY Bay Cities Container is seeking a Data Systems Architect & Analyst for a remote role, pivotal in our digital transformation initiatives. This position focuses on data analytics, data architecture, MES and SCADA systems, ERP systems, and integrating data into AI and Machine Learning models. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming data into actionable insights, architecting data solutions, integrating IT and OT systems, and empowering the organization through data-driven decision-making.JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE
Data Analysis and Architecture:
o Collect, cleanse, and analyze extensive datasets from various sources, including UNS, Data Lakes, and PLC Data. o Develop and implement a robust data architecture framework to support efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval. o Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models and algorithms. o Create and maintain data visualizations and reports, ensuring they are insightful and actionable. o Design and oversee the construction of an accessible data environment, enabling streamlined data extraction for analysis and dashboard creation. o Train and guide team members in extracting and utilizing data from the established environment, fostering a data-centric culture within the organization.SQL Development and Data Management:
o Design, develop, and manage SQL scripts, queries, and database structures for optimal performance and efficiency. o Ensure data integrity and security in all SQL and database operations. o IT/OT Systems Integration and Architecture o Architect comprehensive IT/OT solutions, integrating systems like SCADA, MES, and ERP. o Employ expertise in industrial automation systems design and implementation, particularly with Ignition software. o Lead system integration projects to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
o Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. o Address data quality issues in collaboration with IT and other departments, establishing best practices.Business Insights and Decision Support:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide analytical support. o Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable business strategies and process improvements.Continuous Learning and Innovation:
o Stay abreast of the latest trends in data analysis, AI, ML, and related technologies. o Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data analysis.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in data analysis, SQL development, IT/OT architecture, or similar roles. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, Rust, R, and other relevant programming languages. In-depth knowledge of IT/OT systems, including SCADA, MES, PLC, and ERP. Experience with AI and ML techniques and frameworks. Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Strong understanding of data governance, quality principles, and cybersecurity best practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Project management experience and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Core Competencies High ethical standards.
