What You'll Do As an EDI Specialist , you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless data exchange across ThrivePass products, vendors, and carriers. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and the reliability of our integrations.
You will:
Own and manage a pipeline of 30+ EDI integration projects while meeting SLAs. Collaborate with carriers and vendors to define requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure production readiness. Analyze, document, test, and maintain EDI file processes across systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing integrations. Build and configure file automation processes using internal tools and middleware. Partner with engineering teams to implement new automations and SFTP exchanges. Monitor production, maintain files, and track the EDI lifecycle. Identify trends, recommend improvements, and create process documentation. What You Bring We're looking for someone who's technically strong, detail-oriented, and excited to build reliable, scalable integrations: A proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams. Strong organizational and time management skills in fast-paced environments. High level of accountability and ownership. Must Haves (Highly Important) 3+ years of hands-on experience working with EDI formats (Fixed width, JSON, XML, etc.). 2+ years of direct experience managing and working with
ANSI X12 834
files (this is critical for success in the role). Experience working with benefits or enrollment platforms (TPA, COBRA, CDH, Health & Wealth, etc.). Nice to Have Knowledge of HSA, HRA, FSA, and COBRA structures and processes. Ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new tools or systems.
