Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a tech-savvy, hands-on Inventory Systems & Production Control Analyst to assist with the rollout and ongoing management of our new ERP system. This is a hybrid role that blends elements of IT, operations, and production support. You'll be part of the core team helping to design, test, and launch the inventory and production workflows in our system—then stay on to maintain and optimize them as the system becomes part of our day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career with strong Excel skills, a problem-solving mindset, and interest in how production, inventory, and systems come together.Key Responsibilities:
Phase 1: ERP Implementation Support Assist with building out the production and inventory sections of the ERP system. Clean and map part number and QC data into structured Excel templates. Verify and validate existing data prior to upload. Help Sales compile customer-specific QC tables for upload. Support testing of production and inventory workflows. Assist with setup and testing of new hardware (scales, printers, tablets, handhelds). Learn and document new system functions and features. Train end-users on basic system usage when ready. Support physical inventory transfers and system updates during go-live. Help with minor system configuration tasks (Crystal Reports, SQL queries, NMonitor dashboards). Support one-off reporting requests from Finance and other departments. Phase 2: Post-Go-Live System Ownership Serve as the point person for production and inventory transactions in the ERP system. Manage work order creation, printing, and tracking viaSAP/BEAS.
Monitor and control inventory data accuracy: scrap, re-tagging, weight corrections, cycle counts, etc. Troubleshoot system errors and help operators resolve real-time issues. Coordinate with IT/support vendors to resolve hardware issues (scales, printers, tablets, etc.). Maintain item master data, BOMs, routings, and shop floor data. Consolidate part numbers, manage planning-related transactions, and help with shop floor reservations. Generate and maintain inventory and production reports. Support Engineering with data changes and process improvements. Investigate root causes of scrap or inventory inaccuracies. Assist with other operational needs such as inventory organization, scrapping, and project-based work.Qualifications:
Required:
Strong Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables, data cleaning). Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data. Strong communication and documentation skills. Comfortable in a production or warehouse environment. Willing to learn new systems and technologies quickly.Preferred:
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.). Familiarity with SQL or Crystal Reports (not required but helpful). Experience with inventory or production processes.
