Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Operations Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support and coordinate end-to-end release management activities. This role serves as the central liaison for all release-related documentation, governance, timeline tracking, and signoff coordination across cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison for all release-related documentation and coordination activities across project and delivery teams
Generate, consolidate, and maintain release extracts and reports from JIRA to support planning, tracking, and stakeholdermunication
Track and monitor release timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure activities remain on schedule
Coordinate release readiness activities, ensuring all pre-release requirements, validations, and checkpoints arepleted
Secure all necessary approvals and signoffs from stakeholders including technology, testing, operations, business, and governance teams
Prepare and organize all required release documents, including implementation plans, rollback plans, risk and issue logs, release checklists, readiness summaries, and approval records
Facilitatemunication between development, QA, product, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to ensure smooth release execution
Track and escalate risks, issues, blockers, and outstanding actions that may impact release schedules or readiness
Support release governance by ensuring documentation isplete, version-controlled, and aligned with organizational standards andpliance requirements
Maintain release calendars andmunicate key milestones, changes, and status updates to relevant stakeholders
Participate in release meetings, readiness reviews, and post-release activities, including lessons learned and action tracking
Ensure release artifacts are archived appropriately for audit, traceability, and future reference
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in release coordination, release management, project coordination, or PMO support within a technology or software delivery environment
Hands-on experience using JIRA for extracting release data, tracking status, monitoring progress, and generating reports
Strong understanding of release lifecycle processes, including planning, readiness, validation, approvals, and deployment support
Experience preparing, reviewing, and maintaining release documentation, including release plans, checklists, readiness assessments, risk logs, and signoff records
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Excellent written and verbalmunication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams
Desired skills:
Experience working in an Agile development methodology
Experience with RAG and LLM
Pay range: $64.02 - $72.02 per hour
