California DMV The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to hire a student assistant in the Project Management Unit. This position will provide project support and business analysis support with Information Technology (IT) in the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) group. This position will be a hybrid schedule, in office will be at Sacramento DMV headquarters. Conditions of Employment This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause. Compensation $16.90 to 21.66 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Willingness to perform office administration tasks to support the project management office (PMO) activities. Willingness to perform business analysis and quality assurance tasks to support the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) modernization efforts. Willing to learn and apply information systems division standard processed and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment. Organized and detail-oriented with a proven reliable work ethic. Must be able to communicate effectively through email, telephone, instant messaging (IM), and in person. Comfortability with use of remote access tools. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently or as part of team. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of stakeholders. G ood problem-solving skills. Knowledge in desktop productivity software and project management tools i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Office 365. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate, follow instructions, validate output to ensure quality, escalate issues and share activity status. Experience using Microsoft Windows Operating system. Duties and Responsibilities Perform office administration tasks to support PMO activities. Review and validate Business Process Reengineering, requirements and perform duties related to Product Owner functions and Project Management communications, planning, quality management, stakeholder management, and schedule management. Develop and generate project management reports. Update PMO and vendor management data repositories. Provision user system access. Organize, track, capture minutes and participate in project reviews. Learn incremental software development (ISD) and project management practices. Prepare and track communications. Coordinate with project stakeholders. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer workstations, telephones, calculators, copiers, printers, and scanners with or without reasonable accommodation. Working Conditions Work is performed in a hybrid environment. Students/Employees will be required to work according to the current UEI remote workplace policy and sign a UEI Work from Home Agreement.
