POSITION SUMMARY
The Capital Analyst supports the planning, coordination, and financial tracking of capital projects across the Herschend portfolio. This role partners with senior leadership, park teams, Finance, and IT to ensure capital investments are accurately budgeted, tracked, and reported, while maintaining alignment with overall financial targets. This role may be based on location at any Herschend property or at a Herschend Property Support Center office. This role may be based on location at any Herschend property or at a Herschend Property Support Center office.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Herschend senior leadership to develop annual capital budget targets for each park within the portfolio. Coordinate with park teams to develop and compile annual capital project lists. Review capital project plans to ensure alignment with approved budget targets and proper project naming for asset tracking. Create and maintain unique project codes within Workday for accurate financial tracking. Load and manage approved capital projects in Workday and Galaxy Plus tracking and reporting systems. Facilitate in-year requests for new capital projects and resolve project variances while maintaining the overall capital expenditure (capex) budget. Review and approve Workday capital project Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved projects. Coordinate monthly capital project forecasting across all parks. Prepare and distribute monthly capital project tracking and forecasting reports. Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to manage and enhance capital tracking and reporting tools (Workday and Galaxy Plus). Support the leadership with project planning, reporting, and related inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned to support capital planning and execution.EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field required. 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, capital planning, project coordination, or a related field preferred. Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Familiarity with enterprise financial systems (Workday preferred) is a plus.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong analytical and financial acumen with attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze and interpret data effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
