CMDB Engineer

Job Description One of our top clients in the defense space is seeking an experienced and motivated CMDB Engineer to manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in support of IT Service Management (ITSM). This role focuses on ensuring accurate, compliant configuration data—particularly for

SAP S/4HANA

environments—aligned with ServiceNow CSDM and ITIL best practices. The engineer will collaborate with IT and business teams, perform audits, maintain documentation, support users, and provide reporting to enable informed decision-making.

Compensation:

$45-55/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in configuration management and CMDB administration, including modeling SAP/ERP environments
• Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
• Hands-on experience with CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar tools
• Proficiency in database management and SQL
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Aerospace / defense industry experience
