This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving the systems, data structures, and analytical models that govern production planning and capacity management. This position shifts the planning function from manual, order-by-order scheduling to a scalable, systems-based, and date-driven approach that optimizes overall factory throughput and constraint management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general supervision the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop and maintain systems-level production schedules that account for overall capacity, resource constraints, and demand variability.

Own production planning logic, capacity modeling, and forecasting methodologies; monitor performance and identify systemic risk and opportunities. Design and maintain analytical models to support decision-making and operational planning. Maintain accurate planning data withing ERP/MRP systems and associated tools. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure planning systems reflect current constraints and priorities. Support continuous improvement initiatives through systems design and automation. DUTIES Under general supervision the duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Analyze large volumes of production and performance data. Develop advanced planning tools using Excel, databases, or analytical platforms. Review MRP and capacity outputs for alignment with production realities. Facilitate mass schedule adjustments rather than individual order management.

Support automation of data flows between ERP and planning tools. Provide data-driven planning insights in meetings.

Document planning logic and system assumptions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.3+ years in manufacturing planning, systems, or analytical roles. Advanced Excel proficiency; SQL, Python, or BI tools preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Strong communication skills. Valex provides "best-in-class" benefits.
