Job Description

Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Epic Clinical Analyst I is to configure and provide fundamental, functional, and technical support for the specific application or set of applications to a variety of business and clinical users. Collaborate with end users to understand the workflow and its interdependencies and make corrective adjustments or enhancements. The Epic Clinical Analyst I is the central point of communication for an assigned set of users and will coordinate all activities on behalf of the IS organization. Assists with the analysis, recommendations for corrective actions and resolution of problems within the software applications, and provides support for normal maintenance of upgrades, and system maintenance. Assist with training of staff on clinical information systems where appropriate.
Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Provides end user support through basic troubleshooting application issues in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability and experience understanding end user workflow and owning the technical components of that workflow, works well in team environments. Provides reports and analysis of data obtained. Assists end-users in comprehension of data as needed. Reviews data integrity and audits reports to identify potential issues. Consistently collaborates with end-user, IT and vendors to identify and resolve problems with clinical systems, workflows and processes. Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence principals, self-motivated individual who can identify and resolve issues. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills, quick learner of software and information technology, motivate to learn new applications within the Epic. Assist with training as needed. Provide after-hours support as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Preferred Associate's degree
Experience:
Preferred One year of related experience in Epic software/domain/workflow analysis design/HER application One year of experience or knowledge of clinical workflow, practice standards and documentation requirements One year of experience in a healthcare setting
APPLICATION SPECIFIC NEEDS UNDER CLINICAL SYSTEMS ANALYST
Preferred Application:
Willow/Pharmacy. One year of experience as a pharmacy tech
Application:
Optime/Anesthesia. One year of experience in
OR/Anesthesiology Application:
Beaker. One year of lab tech experience
Application:
Radiant. One year of radiology tech experience
Application:
ASAP (Emergency Room): One year of experience in a clinical emergency room
Certification/Licensure:
Required Valid Driver's License Required for some positions Preferred Epic Certification related to application In order to be adequately prepared and trained to build, test and optimize the Epic system, Shannon required that Epic certifications be obtained within ninety (90) days of completion of the assigned required training classes. Required certifications must be maintained as assigned. Certification in related clinical field Membership in professional organization
