Job Description
job summary: We are looking for a Release Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience for a 6 month contract.
location:
San Antonio, Texas job type: Contract salary: $40- 42 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Ensures the integrity of all environments through the Release Management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Business-related field or comparable education or comparable experience.
- Minimum three (3) years in release management experience or a software development, technical integration or business operations environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a Project Analyst, Project Coordinator, or equivalent project administrative role. In-depth knowledge of the financial services business and the capabilities/features and functions of the systems and applications available to support them.
- Must be analytical and detail oriented.
- Strong process management and improvement skills.
- Outstanding teamwork, inter-personal, facilitation, organizational, listening and communication skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of distributed and mainframe infrastructure, technology and concepts with ability to quickly grasp new technologies, applications and concepts.
- Basic understanding of structured application development methodology and principals, understanding of structured environments using distinct development, test, and production environments.
- Able to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and take on responsibility and accountability.
- Working knowledge of business process methodologies and experience in process management activities.
- Able to mentor/coach team members in understanding the established change management practices, guidelines, and procedures.
