Job Description
Job Summary:
Systems Analyst (Programming Background)Fidelity, Westlake, TX Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Senior Systems Analyst on a Scrum Team within Fidelity's Workplace Investing Digital Platforms Technology Organization.
- Act as a liaison/translator between business partners and developers to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Developers, QA, and Architects to design, build, test, and deliver digital features.
- Analyze, map, and interpret REST services and data for integration with front-end Angular applications.
- Query, analyze, and understand data models; perform data mapping and support data-driven decision-making.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand personas, use cases, and user requirements.
- Write and maintain supporting documentation such as product guides, business process diagrams, and system workflows.
- Triage system defects and troubleshoot issues across environments.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior Systems Analysts within the team.
- Apply critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ambiguous situations.
- Contribute to scalable and maintainable solution design and implementation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of Systems Analysis experience (preferably in financial services applications).
- Previous software development experience (Java/Angular background preferred).
- Strong understanding of REST services and data integration with front-end applications.
- Ability to interpret, query, and model data; strong SQL skills are a plus.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Skilled in developing business process diagrams, system workflows, and product guides.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and defect triage.
- Strong organizational and mentoring abilities; passion for continuous improvement.
Have:
- Experience in Java and Angular technologies.
- Familiarity with testing strategies, test automation, and writing test scripts.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and QA automation tools.
- Experience in technical analysis of sophisticated web applications.
Other:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent required.
- Local candidates preferred; onsite interview required.
- Work authorization limited to GC-EAD,
