Job Description

Job Description Borsight's Configuration Manager / Data Manager (CM/DM) supports Borsight's Department of Défense programs. The CM/DM is responsible for implementing and maintaining program-level configuration and data management processes in accordance with contract requirements. This position involves coordination with internal teams and government customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of contract data and effective control of configuration items.
Experience and Qualifications:
Borsight's CM/DM must have a BS degree in a related field from an accredited university, 3-5 years of relevant aerospace experience with a US DoD Contractor, and extensive familiarity with Government contracts, or experience reading and implementing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) or equivalent Contract Deliverable Requirements. CM/DM must also have vast understanding of configuration management practices and procedures with established experience scheduling, tracking, status communications, and submitting data and working with data repositories, as well as experience using SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) or similar data management systems. Borsight's Director of Engineering maintains all supervisory and administrative control of the CM/DM. CM/DMs must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential responsibilities of this position as outlined in the job description. Job Requirements
  • Works autonomously, either independently or with a group to accomplish specified tasks
  • Maintain and implement program level Data Management (DM) plans and processes with a systems thinking mindset
  • Manage Customer relations with the ability to facilitate and communicate with various levels of management and customers
  • Handle Contract Deliverable Requirement List (CDRL) schedules, deliveries and verification in accordance with contract requirements and schedules
  • Coordinate modification records for management control
  • Review change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies
  • Maintaining program access control for Configuration & Data Management (C&DM) systems/tools
  • Maintaining a document number system and providing document numbers as required
  • Prepare data for archival and maintain archive records for retrieval as required
  • Configuration Management skills on sophisticated systems with experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering Review, Audit, and Release, Product Identification, Change Control including change board management and/or multi-discipline reviews, Status Accounting
  • Experience with Hardware Acceptance reviews and Physical Configuration Audits
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with Engineering, Quality, Support, Manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine the effect on the overall product and system document baselines
  • Handle the review and retention of supplier data
  • Collaborate with program management and engineering to generate supplier Statement of Work (SOW)/SDRL
  • Assist in the delivery of financial CDRLs on contracts
  • Other Ad Hoc analyses as assigned
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of program tasks Personal Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
