Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Configuration Analysis Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel Program. This position can be located in Roy, UT. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You Will Get To Do:
This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a configuration analyst group (typically 8-12 employees) while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current or future tasking. The successful applicant will lead a team of configuration analysts, leveraging their experience in one or more of the following specific skills: Hardware Configuration Management, Change Control and Board Administration, and Data Management. In addition to current program role (80%), the functional homeroom duties (20%) are as follows:
  • Provide people leadership for a configuration analyst organization, to include performance management (including performance reviews), career development, staffing, and merit planning as part of the Strategic Deterrent Systems business unit Functional Homeroom
  • Support employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute programs
  • Provide ownership of and direction of processes used in the functional group
  • Support staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management
  • Support the Department Manager in requested functional tasking

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
