Job Description
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Architect with demonstrated experience in either Higher Education projects or Federal government work. This role supports the planning, design, and delivery of complex institutional projects within regulated environments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, an understanding of public sector processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject DeliveryLead and support architectural projects from programming and schematic design through construction administrationCoordinate project scope, schedule, and consultant integrationContribute to project decision making while meeting client standards and contractual requirementsSector Specific ExperienceWork on academic, research, administrative, or campus facilities for colleges and universities orWork on facilities for Federal agencies, including compliance driven and security sensitive projectsParticipate in user group meetings, agency reviews, and approval processes specific to the client typeTechnical and Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility standardsApply knowledge of institutional or Federal design standards, guidelines, and review requirements as applicableParticipate in quality control reviews of drawings and technical documentationTeam and Client CollaborationCollaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout all project phasesParticipate in meetings, presentations, and coordination sessionsProvide guidance to junior staff as appropriateRequired QualificationsLicensed Architect in the United StatesBachelor's or Master's degree in ArchitectureExperience in Higher Education projects or Federal government workStrong knowledge of architectural production, detailing, and construction documentationExperience working within regulated or public sector environmentsProficiency with Revit and standard project communication toolsStrong organizational, communication, and problem solving skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience with academic, research, administrative, or government facilitiesFamiliarity with Federal or institutional standards such as GSA, UFC, or campus design guidelinesExperience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and approval authorities
