As an intern supporting Boldt's Information Technology Program Management Office (PMO), you will gain hands‑on experience helping plan, coordinate, track, and report on IT work across the organization. The PMO acts as the "control tower" for IT initiatives, ensuring work is well‑defined, visible, and delivered in alignment with Boldt's strategic goals. In this role, you will work alongside IT leadership, project managers, scrum masters, and technical teams to support governance, agile delivery, intake processes, and executive reporting. You will perform meaningful project coordination and administrative work similar to full‑time PMO staff, gaining real‑world experience in how enterprise IT programs are delivered in a modern construction company. This role is based out of Boldt's corporate headquarters.WHAT YOU GET TO DO
(ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
): As a Project Coordinator Intern in the IT PMO, you will support project delivery, governance, and reporting through a combination of administrative excellence, agile coordination, and data maintenance.Responsibilities include:
Project & Portfolio Coordination Perform Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog audits and hygiene, ensuring work items are complete, current, and aligned to PMO standards Support project and sprint status reporting, including collecting updates and maintaining reporting artifacts Maintain capacity and demand reporting to support workload and resource visibility Assist with project delivery metrics and dashboards used by IT leadership and executive stakeholders Maintain project financial reporting data for tracking and reporting purposes (no approval authority) Intake & Governance Support Provide intake request support and triage, helping route, organize, and track new work requests Support Change Advisory Board, Architectural Review Board, and intake meetings, including: agenda preparation decision and action item logging publishing meeting notes and materials to Teams and SharePoint Enforce Definition of Ready checks for intake requests prior to Architecture Review Board review or prioritization Maintain the RAID register (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions) across active projects Track and escalate overdue action items before they become delivery risks Portfolio Readiness & Oversight Conduct quarterly portfolio readiness checks, identifying: missing project owners stale or outdated status reporting projects with no risks logged projects without upcoming milestones Flag portfolio gaps and readiness concerns to PMO leadership for review Agile Delivery & Sprint Support Support daily standups and agile ceremonies by assisting scrum masters with coordination and follow‑ups Perform sprint ceremony readiness checks to ensure boards and backlogs are prepared Conduct sprint carryover analysis to understand what work slipped and why Support retrospectives by: capturing key themes and insights tracking agreed‑upon improvement actions Maintain a cross‑team "blocked work" list to improve visibility into delivery impediments Reporting & Metrics Support Maintain Service Management ticket reporting data used for executive dashboards Support cybersecurity metrics reporting for executive‑level visibility Validate reporting data and help ensure accuracy and consistency across PMO dashboards Business Analysis & Requirements Support Assist with requirements elicitation, as needed Draft problem statements and success metrics from intake and discovery conversations Organize requirements into clear, structured themes Maintain end‑to‑end traceability between: intake requests Azure DevOps epics delivered outcomes What we expect from you: C Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university; preferred majors include Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Computer Science, or related fields Interest in project management, agile delivery, business analysis, or IT leadership Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint) Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data and documentation A valid driver's license may be required; position may be subject to an annual MVR check Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future Physical requirements and working conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds. The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances.
