        Description:
        This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and configuring projects related to the support of the DOCs Offender Management System (WICS) team. WICS is the State of Wisconsins offender management tool utilized by DOC staff. This position serves as a member of the WICS Team staff, which includes Department employees from the Bureau of Technology Management, and staff from the other program divisions, and business partners. This position works closely with the operational group to help identify areas of optimization and improved business processes for workflows within WICS. This position will also execute build and testing required for the delivery of effective WICS optimizations and upgrades.
        Job Details:
        Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting. The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
        Qualifications :
        Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
        • Maintaining software and/or vendor managed software, performing activities such as maintenance, Testing, upgrades, and configurations.
        • Communicating software configuration with external and internal stakeholders.
        • Working with external stakeholders to identify process improvements and optimizations. In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:
        • Experience in Agile environment and System development.
        • Test script maintenance and Test automation.
        • Working in government or correctional environment.
        • Experience with SQL.
        • Existing knowledge of Offender Management Systems
        • optional (nice to have).
        • BA experience with ability to understand and document the Business requirements.
        • Experience in change management system.
        • Good Business process mapping and process capture though Visio flow diagrams.
        • Ability to identify integrations points.
        • Knowledge of reporting and dashboards maintenance.
        • Experience in process improvements and IT systems integration.
        • Ability to work with cross functional teams.
        • Ability to work with business teams and good communication and presentation skills.
        • Experience in User Acceptability Testing and ability identify, design and optimize the new and existing test cases.
