Level I Certification NDT Level II Associate's degree CATIA Full Job Description Active Secret Clearance is Required Nondestructive Evaluation Technical Analyst - Huntsville, AL - NDE Technician . We are looking for a range of experience, including early to mid-career level NDE Technicians. Engineering team supporting space, commercial and defense air vehicles. Along with supporting the aforementioned space commercial and defense programs; the team provides supplier standup/certification, fabrication support/trouble-shooting and fleet support activities across the Client value stream. The team also conducts NDE research and development for both internal and external customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, in performing complex analysis and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Leads, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations. Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Leads the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of complex issues with suppliers and customers. Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by leading the design, development, fabrication, testing, evaluation and implementation of new concepts and technology. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians. Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience in Nondestructive Evaluation Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy). Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)ASNT Level 2 in multiple nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection) Experience working in multi-discipline teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical customers.
Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics. Experience with project management toolsExcellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations.

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
