Position:
Systems Administrator (Windows Infrastructure)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong Windows infrastructure expertise to support and secure enterprise environments. This role focuses on administering, hardening, and maintaining Windows servers and workstations while ensuring compliance with
NIST SP 800-53
security standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Microsoft technologies, system security, and automation, with hands-on experience implementing security controls, managing configurations, and supporting enterprise-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, maintain, and patch Windows Server (2019/2022 ) and Windows 10/11 systems Implement and enforce
NIST SP 800-53
security controls across Windows environments Manage Active Directory, Group Policy (GPOs), and access controls Perform system hardening, baseline configuration, and compliance enforcement Administer tools such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Azure AD (Entra ID) Configure and enforce security policies including MFA, least privilege, firewall rules, and encryption Monitor systems for compliance using tools like Nessus/Tenable Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting Troubleshoot system issues, vulnerabilities, and security incidents Document configurations, security controls, and compliance processes Support audits and maintain compliance with federal security standards
Required Qualifications:
4 years of experience administering Windows servers and workstations in enterprise environments Hands-on experience implementing
NIST SP 800-53
security controls Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools: Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Defender Understanding of security control families (AC, AU, CM, IA, SC, SI) Experience with system hardening, configuration management, and least-privilege principles Familiarity with vulnerability/compliance tools (Nessus, Tenable, etc.) Strong PowerShell scripting skills U.S. Citizenship required Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications (Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Endpoint Administrator) Security certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISM, or CAP Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, Azure Policy, and Defender for Endpoint Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as
