Job Description

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary This position is responsible for the design, development, testing, and ongoing support of both new and existing software applications and system integrations that enable plant operations and business functions. The role includes programming, database development, and user support, ensuring accurate and dependable data exchange between legacy systems (such as AS/400) and modern web- and cloud-based platforms. Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and maintain applications, APIs, and automated processes using technologies such as Node.js, ASP.NET Core (C#), React, and related tools in alignment with business requirements. Create, enhance, and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures; facilitate data integration with AS/400 (IBM i) and DB2 systems to support seamless data synchronization. Develop and support integrations with industrial systems including PI Historian (or similar time-series databases), SCADA/process monitoring platforms, RFID systems, scale/weighing equipment, and environmental monitoring tools used for compliance reporting. Implement and support solutions utilizing Microsoft Graph API, Azure Active Directory authentication, email services (e.g., SendGrid), and document management/imaging systems (such as EBE) to improve operational efficiency and communication. Provide technical support to end users through phone, email, and ticketing platforms; troubleshoot issues across multiple systems and assist with hardware, software, and access-related concerns. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of essential IT infrastructure components, including user account setup, file servers, and basic networking equipment to ensure system reliability and performance.
Core Competencies Data & Integration:
Experience with SQL Server development, performance tuning, DB2 SQL, and AS/400 connectivity; knowledge of PI Historian (or equivalent); ability to design and manage data synchronization and ETL-style processes across diverse systems.
Programming & Technologies:
Proficiency in PHP, Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, SQL, and DB2; hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and ASP.NET Core for building APIs, services, and user interfaces; familiarity with Windows services and scripting for automation.
Industrial & IT Systems:
Background working with SCADA/process systems, RFID technologies, weighing systems, environmental monitoring, and document imaging solutions; foundational knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, cybersecurity practices, patching, and antivirus tools.
Cloud & Identity Management:
Experience integrating with Microsoft Graph API, Azure AD for authentication and authorization, and third-party email platforms such as SendGrid. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues across integrated systems, often under tight timelines. Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions while clearly communicating with non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with limited documentation, while also contributing effectively within a team environment alongside IT and operations personnel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of approximately five (5) years of programming experience, preferably with exposure to both industrial/operational technologies and enterprise IT systems. Must meet all company employment requirements, including pre-employment screening and verification of eligibility to work.
