ABOUT THE POSITION
This position will be under the direct supervision of the Workday HCM & Payroll Specialist within the Workday Support Services unit. The Workday Payroll Analyst will work on projects and requests in support of and to meet the operational needs of The Claremont Colleges (TCC). Providing support as a member of the Workday Support Services unit include support in the areas of security, functional or operational business support, and compliance/audit for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and any other related business systems. The Workday Payroll Analyst will work directly with team members and end-users to research requests and issues and document requirements to provide logical solutions within Workday HCM and broader system touchpoints. Additionally, this individual will help drive process improvement initiatives and technological innovations applicable to Human Resources and Payroll departments across TCC. The Workday Payroll Analyst assists with the coordination, maintenance, and implementation of HR and Payroll related workflows in Workday and any other related HCM business systems. This role will assist with improving and configuring system processes, uphold data integrity standards and needs to possess a keen understanding of the HCM function and data to provide reliable solutions to The Claremont Colleges requests. The Analyst will also support the department in any new HCM or Payroll-driven systems implementation projects and any other systems that may directly or indirectly intersect with Human Resources-related functional areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following are the fundamental duties and responsibilities of this position which the incumbent must be able to perform to fulfill the purpose and requirements of this position. Interpret HR/Payroll functional customer requests and translate them into logical, configurable solutions in Workday HCM supported by clear and thorough documentation. Provide daily customer support to The Claremont Colleges by responding to and closing out tickets and by resolving issues as they arise; work with other departments and outside vendors to resolve issues pertaining to Workday touchpoints. Cultivate strong relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of Claremont, the Consortium, and Payroll and HR's role within it. Collaborate with HR and Payroll SMEs and other cross-functional teams to prioritize projects, enhancement requests, gather and document business and technical requirements and complete Workday HCM configurations from design to implementation. Assist with training including but not limited to, documenting system configurations, processes, and procedures, preparing instruction materials. Develop and maintain ad hoc reports, dashboards, and hubs that support the requirements outlined by The Claremont Colleges. Attend annual HR and Payroll related compliance training to be a reliable resource for our organization and its TCC customers on Payroll compliance matters and their translation into Workday configurations and business process definitions. Collaborate with team members and work independently to design, build, test, and troubleshoot system changes. Work with team Support bi-annual regression testing and uptake of Workday releases. A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer analytics, information technology, or a related field; or the equivalent in a combination of education, training, and additional work experience beyond the minimum required. Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience in systems and business process analysis, documentation, and support, including at least two (2) years of experience with Workday Payroll functional experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong verbal, and written communication in English. Knowledge of Workday Time Tracking and Absence. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Understanding of Workday system logic, design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools. Strong interpersonal skill with the ability to foster collaboration and build positive relationships with internal and external constituencies, including with customers and vendors. Strong analytical skills with an ability to synthesize and effectively articulate data. Some knowledge of project-related activities from active participation in system-related projects. Ability to manage time and assignments to meet expectations and strict deadlines. Flexibility and comfort adjusting to changing priorities and challenges. Fundamental understanding of and familiarity with maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Demonstrate maturity, tact, openness to new ideas and change, resiliency, and composure in difficult and unexpected circumstances. Human Resources experience highly desirable. Experience with Kronos. Experience with cloud-based ERP systems. Experience with data analysis and reporting. Work Schedule:
The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May be required to work holiday, weekend, and/or evening hours. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the organization or business unit. COMPENSATION
Pay:
The pay range for this position is $7,500- $8,333.33 per month depending on experience. Benefits:
