The role focuses on welding quality (NDT defect analysis), standard production time verification, and broader process performance analysis. Findings are translated into structured reports and recommendations that directly support shop-floor decisions and planning. Key Responsibilities Analyze welding defect data (
NDT:
VT/MT/UT
) across shifts and production Mod; identify root causes, recurring patterns, and improvement opportunities. Verify standard production time against actual cycle data; quantify gaps and propose process-level improvements. Build and maintain recurring KPI reports and dashboards (Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools) for the BT Department and operations leadership. Support ad-hoc analyses across production technology — equipment capacity, throughput, downtime, and quality drivers. Collaborate with PT team, Quality, and Operations to translate findings into executable improvement plans. QualificationsREQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience En lieu of a degree Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups,complex formulas) Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Clear written and verbal communication; ability to brief findings to non-technical audiences Comfortable working on the production floor and engaging directly with operators and engineersPREFERRED
Manufacturing or heavy-industry experience Familiarity with welding processes or NDT (VT, UT, RT) Experience with MES or production data systems Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical tools Exposure to quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, SPC)- Multi-week welding defect trend analysis across BT shifts and production Mods
- Standard time verification studies on selected production lines
- Equipment capacity and idle-loss analysis using MES data
- Cross-functional improvement initiatives in coordination with Quality and Operations.
Pay:
