Operations Technology Cyber Security Analyst We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Technology (OT) Cyber Security Analyst to join our Business Technology team. In this role, you will protect Silgan's industrial control systems and other operational technology (OT) infrastructure by identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, and IT to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient OT environments across all manufacturing facilities. What You Will Do Monitor, assess, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in OT environments, including ICS, DCS, and PLC systems. Coordinate OT Intrusion Detection Software (IDS) site implementation and manage consultant deliverables. Administer Claroty and similar monitoring software; escalate IDS alerts to stakeholders and assist with remediation. Implement and maintain OT cybersecurity controls aligned with
NIST, ISA/IEC
62443, and related frameworks. Conduct OT risk assessments, threat modeling, and gap analyses for OT assets and networks. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate response efforts with relevant teams. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing while ensuring minimal operational disruption. Support design and maintenance of network segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, and other OT security controls. Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and documentation for standards such as NERC CIP, SOX, and
ISO 27001.
Maintain OT asset inventory and documentation of system configurations and cybersecurity controls. Stay current with emerging OT/ICS security threats and technologies. What You Need to Have Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working in manufacturing shop floor environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced operational environments. Collaboration with Plant Managers to align security activities with scheduled maintenance outages and production cycles. Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as needed for system implementation and support (up to 25-50%). Experience implementing compensating controls for legacy systems that cannot be patched or upgraded. Experience managing security requirements with third-party automation vendors and OEMs (Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.) Preferred but not required: 3+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 1-2 years in OT or ICS environments. Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, BACnet). Familiarity with frameworks such as
NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, NERC
CIP, and
MITRE ATT&CK
for ICS. Hands-on experience with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and asset discovery tools. Knowledge and support of device networking and manufacturing systems. Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GRID, or Security+.
