Job Description

Job Summary The Data Analyst will support and participate in data governance efforts across the Business Unit areas to ensure that enterprise data used for reporting, modeling, key business decisions, and executing RJF end-to-end business processes is 'fit for purpose'. This position will report to the Director of Data Governance Adoption in the Chief Administration Office and support RJF as it builds its capabilities for enterprise data governance and data management. The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise efforts underway to identify and document all business and technical metadata required to source data for various Enterprise use cases outlined above. In addition, the Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the documenting full lineage requirements for use cases from source to consumption as well as reverse dissection of existing use cases - consumption point to source. This will include identifying issues, gaps, and recommendations; collaborating with Technology and subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to drive data governance adoption. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support and participate in data governance efforts across Business Unit areas to ensure enterprise data is 'fit for purpose'. Identify and document all business and technical metadata required to source data for various Enterprise use cases. Document full lineage requirements for use cases from source to consumption and reverse dissection of existing use cases. Identify issues, gaps, and recommendations related to data governance and management. Collaborate with Technology and subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to drive data governance adoption. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices. Proficiency in documenting business and technical metadata. Ability to analyze and document data lineage from source to consumption. Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and recommend solutions. Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, Risk, and Operations. This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $59.48/hour - $79.31/hour
