What You'll Do :

Write and test computer programs based on written and oral specifications Assist in analyzing user requirements and documenting system processes Participate in the design of user screens, reports, batch processes, and database structures Participate in system testing, implementation, and database development activities Develop system documentation for system specification, operational jobs, and user guides

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major work in public or business administration, accounting, mathematics or a related field.

Substitution :

Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from the attainment of a bachelor's degree.

For example:

1. Four (4) years of professional work experience, in any occupation, may substitute for a general bachelor's degree. 2. Four (4) years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a similar area may substitute for a general bachelor's degree. Education must have been completed at the time of application in order to be credited. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

: Six months of stored computer programming experience.

Substitution :

A Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Science (ICS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a Computer Science/Information Technology related field from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university may substitute for the six months of stored computer programming experience.
