The primary responsibilities include domain administration, network server administration, hardware and software support of personal computer-based systems with an emphasis on quality user support. The incumbent in this position may be requested to provide assistance outside of his/her immediate facility. The incumbent may also be called upon to participate in other Information Technology Department led initiatives. Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Provide user support to the employees of the facility. This support may be accomplished via telephone, remote capabilities, group training environment, or in any other way deemed appropriate to provide quality and efficient support. Define or plan projects to improve information systems or to support the organization's business functions with information technology, consistent with the organization's strategic information technology plan, information architecture, and technological direction. Using assigned project resources (staff, space, equipment, and funds) and coordinating involvement by managers, stakeholders and users, produce or document system additions or changes which meet project objectives and quality standards. Apply assigned resources to complete information technology projects on schedule and within budget, produce required management reports, and make project presentations. Identify, document, or present alternative ways to meet the information requirements; conduct, document, or present market research and studies of technical feasibility, risk, cost/benefit, and architectural conformance for each; select or recommend selection of one solution. Qualifications Education :
High school diploma or GED transcripts
Licensing & Certification :
CompTIA A+ Certification preferred. Have valid driver's license.
Minimum Qualifications :
One year of experience advising and assisting computer users in a distributed computing environment. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications :
Independent work experience in information technology management. Two (2) years network administration related experience in installation and maintenance of personal computer systems with emphasis on open-source systems.

Selection Process:
Applicants selected for an interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior-based interview questions. The interview panel will make recommendations to the Warden for final approval. A second interview may be conducted. Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation; must pass a drug screen and a TB test unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency; and possess a valid Driver's License.
