The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The IT Security Analyst supports cybersecurity operations and helps implement security controls across DAV's modernizing IT environment. This role is hands-on and works closely with infrastructure, help desk, and development teams.

Essential Functions:

Monitor security alerts and events, investigate suspicious activity, and escalate incidents as appropriate Assist in incident response activities, including documentation, coordination, and follow-up actions Support security logging, monitoring, and detection efforts to improve visibility and response capabilities Assist in the administration and support of endpoint protection platforms, including configuration and basic troubleshooting Support device security and compliance efforts by reviewing endpoint configurations and assisting with remediation actions Monitor user access and assist in reviewing privileged accounts to ensure appropriate access controls are maintained Support the implementation and maintenance of identity and access management controls, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and conditional access policies Assist with the deployment and configuration of security tools and controls, including Microsoft Defender, Intune security policies, and email security solutions Perform vulnerability scans, track identified risks, and coordinate remediation efforts with IT teams Support patch management processes by helping track and validate updates and remediation activities Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training and organizational education initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security operations and promote best practices across the organization Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

2-5 years IT experience Basic cybersecurity knowledge Experience with Microsoft environments Strong analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Security+ certification Microsoft security certifications Experience with M365 security tools Experience with endpoint security platforms

Physical Demands:

Job requires sitting up to eight hours a day and standing two to four hours a day. Body movement primarily in hand and arm functions associated with normal office activities. Hand and eye coordination, and hand dexterity is required for handwriting and keyboarding over prolonged periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires occasional lifting and/or carrying of no more than 25 pounds, and bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
