Job Description

This position serves as the IT Strategy Analyst responsible for providing efficient and timely support to designated bureau business sections pertaining to the completion of a variety of projects ranging between large-scale agency initiatives, new technology implementations, Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) mandates, and existing system/program enhancements. The position will be responsible for developing and enforcing business best practices across all the designated agencies using these platforms. These best practices will include areas such as security, release management, configuration, document storage and reporting. The position will work with DTMB and designated LARA bureaus to identify and prioritize all the outstanding work on these platforms. This position will be responsible for various communication requirements, internal or external communication to designated bureaus, vendors and DTMB, stakeholder presentations, informational sessions that would outline technology initiatives and written updates to executive team members. These services include guidance to bureau users and support personnel in the form of expert input into tasks and decisions. Experience Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required. Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience. Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service. Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
