Technical Analyst, Operations NISA Investment Advisors, LLC May 15, 2026 Technical Analyst, Operations Overview NISA Investment Advisors, LLC (NISA) offers customized investment solutions for tax-exempt and taxable institutional clients. NISA manages over $295 billion in fixed income and equity securities and over $167 billion in derivative notional value. Responsibilities The Technical Analyst is a key member of the Operations team, well-versed in the procedures, processes, and applications used across multiple operational functions. This role investigates, recommends solutions for, and resolves the most complex problems or issues impacting the team. The Technical Analyst routinely interacts with all levels of management, participates in or leads operational projects, including system evaluations, selections, and/or implementations, and serves as a knowledgeable resource across the department. Calculate derivative payments, valuations, and client entitlements across fixed income and equity products
Support day-to-day trade operations, including order management, trade execution, and settlement
Perform portfolio accounting and reconciliation functions to ensure accuracy and completeness
Analyze and format large data sets using advanced Excel techniques
Research and provide guidance for prompt resolution of complex problems
Periodically perform internal audits of specific functions or teams to ensure compliance with department procedures
Assist the Operations team as needed when volume spikes
Identify and implement process improvements, both systematic and procedural
Participate in or lead operational projects as assigned
Collaborate cross-functionally with portfolio management, trading, and technology teams to resolve operational issues
Prepare client reports, business correspondence, and internal documentation
Mentor and support junior team members Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical discipline required
2+ years of experience in investment operations, asset management operations, or a related field
Strong understanding of derivative payments, valuations, and fixed income and equity products, including the ability to calculate client entitlements and claims
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and format large data sets
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Familiarity with investment management systems, including order management, trade execution, portfolio accounting, and reconciliation tools
Experience with portfolio accounting platforms or operational technology systems preferred
Communication:
