Full Job Description Job Description:
CraneTech is seeking a dynamic individual with a strong technical sales background to join our team as a Technical Sales Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of products and services to enhance the safety and productivity of our customers. Your focus will be on meeting sales targets for various lifting equipment, including but not limited to repairs, retrofits, hoists, spare parts, general overhauls, and consulting services. This position requires excellent organizational skills to ensure efficient scheduling of the service department's workload, filling all available time slots with sold work. Responsibilities:
Actively engage in sales activities to promote and sell retrofits, components, modernization, and new equipment to existing customers, while also developing new accounts to meet or exceed established sales quotas. Prepare or assist in preparing price estimates for service work, utilizing company tools, guidelines, and input from the service department. Maintain regular contact with all existing accounts in your designated area and prepare related monthly sales reports. Foster relationships with assigned accounts through monthly check-ins, documenting key activities, and preparing account plans with actionable items to be submitted to the Regional Manager. Conduct business reviews with customers as required. Track all sales activities, opportunities, and proposals in the CRM system, and provide weekly reports to the manager. Coordinate with the service department to ensure all open time slots are filled with sold work, maximizing productivity. Evaluate project opportunities and ensure creditworthiness, including reviewing D&B ratings and obtaining credit applications or tax-exempt certificates as necessary. Assist in the collection of outstanding accounts as needed and consult district staff before delivering services or materials to accounts overdue by more than 60 days. Manage the contract renewal process, ensuring customer needs are addressed promptly and renewal opportunities are secured. Reach out to accounts that are not renewing agreements and document all relevant activities in the CRM system. Maintain up-to-date customer and contact information in the CRM system. Collaborate regularly with the service department to resolve any issues related to customer accounts. Adhere to all established safety protocols, including those specified by the customer. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other sales tools. Related field experience or bachelor's degree in business or marketing Proven track record of success in technical sales, with a minimum of [3-5 years] of experience. (Strong prospecting), negotiation, and closing skills, focusing on achieving results and exceeding targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive strategic decisions.
