Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Workday HCM Functional Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM) processes through the Workday platform. This position serves as the subject matter expert for Workday HCM modules, collaborating with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, implement solutions, and ensure the effective utilization of Workday to meet organizational goals
JOB FUNCTIONS
Workday HCM Module Management Responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing various Workday HCM modules, including Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Recruitment, and Absence. This involves ensuring that each module is set up according to organizational requirements and operates efficiently to meet business needs. Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirement Gathering Work closely with HR and business stakeholders to collect and analyze requirements. Translate these business needs into effective Workday HCM configurations and implement solutions that address the identified requirements. Provide ongoing consultation to HR to develop domain expertise, facilitate requirements gathering, and deliver impact analyses for proposed solutions. System Testing and Issue Resolution Conduct thorough system testing to ensure proper functionality of Workday HCM processes and integrations. Troubleshoot any issues that arise, resolving problems promptly to maintain system reliability and performance. Documentation and Data Management Document all functional requirements, business processes, and configuration modifications, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. Maintain key master data values in Workday, such as Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, and Locations. Change Management and Process Validation Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to test, validate, and implement changes to Business Processes within Workday. This ensures that updates are thoroughly evaluated and properly integrated into existing workflows. Release and Upgrade Support Support Workday releases and upgrades by analyzing new features and functionalities. Provide recommendations for adoption and evaluate opportunities to enhance and optimize Workday usage within the organization. Analytics and Project Support Offer analytics expertise during optimization and implementation projects to ensure best practices are incorporated into go-lives and enhancements. This contributes to the successful delivery of projects and improved system performance. End-User Support and Training Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver end-user support, training, and guidance. Promote effective utilization of Workday HCM functionalities by ensuring users have the knowledge and resources needed to perform their roles efficiently. IT Partnership and Data Integration Partner with IT teams to manage data integrations, reporting, and security within Workday. This partnership is essential for maintaining robust data flows and ensuring the security and integrity of HR information. System Performance Monitoring and Auditing Regularly monitor system performance and data integrity, developing and executing audits as necessary. This proactive approach helps identify and address potential issues before they impact business operations. Subject Matter Expertise and Continuous Improvement Serve as a subject matter expert on current and emerging Workday capabilities, best practices, new modules, and industry trends. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, optimization, and potential service expansion by staying informed and sharing knowledge with the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Required
  • Associate's Degree degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field with 4 years additional experience beyond work requirements. Required Licenses and Certifications

  • 1-3 years. 2+ years of experience as a Workday HCM functional analyst or similar HRIS role, with hands-on configuration experience.. Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of employee engagement: Strong understanding of HR operations and employee experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods: Experience conducting interviews, gathering and defining requirements, process mapping, and/or developing documentation or training for system users
  • Data literacy: Problem-solving skills, quantitative reasoning, attention to detail, basic command of Microsoft Excel analysis tools and functions
