Job Description

Position Purpose The CVO Database Analyst shall be accountable for day-to-day maintenance, support, training, and optimization of the CVO credentialing database. This role serves as the functional and technical subject matter expert for credentialing data, system configuration, reporting, and performance optimization, ensuring the system supports organizational compliance, operational efficiency, and accurate provider credentialing workflows. Handles, with discretion, issues that are significant, complex, multidisciplinary, sensitive, and confidential. Exemplifies a culture of excellence, effective communication and collaboration, and customer service with CVO leadership and staff, internal and external customers, providers, and clinical and administrative leaders. Possesses and/or develops a strong grasp of the medical staff operations and the cultures of each affiliated institution and works to find common ground. Works to develop an overall singular culture of excellence and efficiency system wide. Essential Responsibilities
I. DATABASE MANAGEMENT
= [60%] A. Maintains and supports the credentialing database used by the CVO and System Entities in collaboration with the [Database Administrator/CVO Director]. Acts as a functional and technical resource and system expert Acts as a liaison between the system vendor and IT, CVO, and Medical Staff Services Departments Assures the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the data housed within the credentialing database in accordance with system and/or hospital policies Validates data and maintains data dictionaries for all systems supports all users by providing education, ongoing assistance, reference and troubleshooting Translate operational needs into actionable data insights for leadership and credentialing stakeholders. Ensure reporting aligns with regulatory, accreditation, and internal audit requirements. Assists in the development of data entry and credentialing software operational policies, procedures, and forms in concert with CVO Director, as requested Supports the integration and optimization of the credentialing software system Assists with the development and deployment and updates of credentialing and recredentialing workflows to ensure efficient and effective alignment of processes B. Supports the use of process and performance improvement data to implement change= [30%] Collaborates with key staff and clients on managing an ongoing reporting process that is accurate, timely and action driven. Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports related to credentialing timelines, expirables, compliance metrics, and provider lifecycle status. C. CVO and Client Collaboration= [10%] Serves as a liaison between the CVO staff and clients. Influences and leads technology integration and migration with other information systems. Manages client-specific requests to generate customized reports, perform additional verifications and provide added services. May Support Other Related Functions by Leads and/or participates in special project teams as assigned Continually strives to achieve individual, team and departmental goals Consults With I. Medical services professionals (MSPs in MSOs, CVOs, MCOs, etc.) II. Individual practitioners III. Senior management IV. Ancillary staff (Information Technology, Business Office, Contracts) V. Physician recruitment representative(s) Qualifications
I. EDUCATION A.
Associate's/Bachelor's degree [or IT Training Certification]
II. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
(Encouraged) A. NAMSS' Certification (CPMSM and/or CPCS)
III. EXPERIENCE A.
2+ years in industry setting (MSO, CVO, MCO) working with a credentialing database (preferred), or B. 2+ years' experience in utilizing and maintaining databases including experience in medical terminology
IV. SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES A.
Credentialing technical skills B. Overall working knowledge of software programs, coding, etc. with a drive to incorporate technology into all operational functions. C. Strong organizational skills D. Detail driven E. Excellent communication skills F. Knowledge of medical terminology
