Job Description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of software engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
API Strategy and Design:
Lead the design and development of our next-generation API platform. Define and enforce API design principles, standards, and best practices (REST, gRPC, etc.).
Software Development:
Participate in the hands-on development of complex and scalable Java-based microservices and APIs. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Architecture:
Collaborate with enterprise architects to define and implement a robust and scalable architecture for our applications and services.
Code Quality and Review:
Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
Project Delivery:
Work closely with product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
Technology Innovation:
Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve our development process and platform.
Team Development:
Play an active role in the recruitment, and development of engineering talent.
Recommended Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Java. 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or architect role. Expert-level knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot, and other modern frameworks. Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices. Knowledge of API security standards and best practices (e.g., OAuth, JWT). Familiarity with API gateways and management platforms. Experience with performance tuning and optimization of high-traffic applications. Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence others.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
