In this role, you will manage, maintain, and enhance our systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. You will support faculty, staff, and students in utilizing technology effectively for teaching, research, and administrative functions. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Offer hardware support by troubleshooting and resolving issues across servers, workstations, laptops, wireless and network devices, printers, and instructional technology. Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining systems within the infrastructure. Deliver software support by diagnosing and fixing problems with operating systems and applications. This requires skill in utilizing campus systems (such as SCCM), with an emphasis on Windows management, and some familiarity with macOS, iOS, and Linux. Provide customer assistance by helping users with a variety of technical and non-technical concerns. Support includes identifying problems or requirements, implementing solutions, and adapting systems whenever possible. Collaborate with School of Management staff, faculty, and other IT groups on campus to resolve issues, develop new strategies, and carry out solutions. Duties involve participating in IT projects, planning for future user needs, writing documentation, improving service processes, and handling other related responsibilities. Contribute to disaster recovery planning and implementation. Supervise, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to IT student assistants, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely completion of support tasks and projects. Maintain strong time management and prioritization skills while staying current with technologies, platforms, operating systems, applications, procedures, and support techniques relevant to the role. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. At least 2 years experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems. Proven ability to support Microsoft Windows. Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and network services. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with secure computing technologies and best practices, such as Antivirus software, Firewalls, Active Directory, Group Policy, file system permissions, security policies, patch automation, and virtualization, as required by the University. ground in automating and deploying operating systems and applications using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365 tools (including SharePoint and OneDrive), and PowerShell scripting. Knowledge of teleconferencing and communication platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Working knowledge of operating systems outside of Windows, such as macOS, iOS, Android, and/or Linux.
