Technical Analyst Overview We are seeking a Technical Analyst to join our team and serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This individual will support data, reporting, and analytics initiatives by gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, troubleshooting data issues, and helping translate business needs into technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning new technologies. You'll have the opportunity to gain exposure to analytics platforms, databases, reporting tools, and emerging AI technologies while partnering with teams across the organization. Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements. Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, reports, dashboards, and data solutions. Write and analyze SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and troubleshoot data. Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and support data cleansing efforts. Assist with reporting and analytics initiatives using business intelligence tools. Support validation of data loads, integrations, and database processes. Create and maintain documentation, user stories, process flows, and technical specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, analysts, developers, and data teams. Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage work items and project documentation. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, and overall data quality. Explore and support emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools and solutions. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role. Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Experience analyzing data and troubleshooting data-related issues. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working within Agile environments. Experience with Jira and/or Confluence. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, or other enterprise databases. Exposure to reporting and analytics platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience supporting data quality, data governance, or reporting initiatives. Familiarity with APIs, JSON, data integrations, or ETL processes. Exposure to Python, AI tools, or automation technologies. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Preferred Characteristics Naturally curious and eager to learn new technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset.
