TITLE:
IT ANALYST
JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Analyst provides technical, database, and operational support to the Senior SIS & Data Information Administrator. This role helps manage the district's core business and student information systems, ensuring accurate data synchronization, troubleshooting user portals, maintaining emergency communication tools, and supporting the technical onboarding workflow for new employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
SIS & Student Data Support (Collaborative Support to Senior SIS Administrator) Tier 1 & 2
Support:
Provide technical assistance to school-site registrars, secretaries, and staff handling daily student data entry and scheduling.
System Maintenance:
Assist with daily updates, basic scheduling loads, and minor troubleshooting within the Student Information System (PowerSchool).
Data Quality Control:
Perform routine data auditing and validation checks to ensure student demographics and enrollment data comply with local, state, and federal reporting standards.
Integration Support:
Assist in maintaining system integrations, API data transfers, and Single Sign-On (SSO) pipelines. Business & Merchant Systems Management (MySchoolBucks Support)
Platform Coordination:
Support the setup, portal upkeep, and maintenance of the district's online payment system (MySchoolBucks).
Fee Configuration:
Collaborate with Child Nutrition, Athletics, and after-school programs to configure and audit online payment items, activities, and school store fees.
User Troubleshooting:
Resolve account issues, student ID matching discrepancies, and transaction reporting errors for parents, students, and staff.
Financial Reconciliation:
Partner with financial stakeholders to identify and resolve sync discrepancies between the payment platform and the general ledger. III. Crisis & Emergency Management Systems Support Configure, verify, and maintain automatic roster syncs between the SIS and emergency management tools (such as mass notification channels, safety screening systems, or check-in portals). Collaborate with District Safety Coordinators to ensure that staff, student, and parent contact information is accurate and fully synchronized for emergency messaging. Help plan, execute, and monitor routine system tests of the emergency response systems to guarantee 100% notification delivery during critical scenarios. Troubleshoot user access, alert template updates, and data pipeline disruptions inside mass-communication modules. IV. Multi-System Account Provisioning & Identity Management
Employee Onboarding:
Assist in managing the technical onboarding workflow, ensuring user accounts are accurately created, modified, or deactivated across district networks (Active Directory, Google Workspace, email, and facility security software). Support IT Team and Human Resources to establish unified profile standards, automating or manually executing role-based permissions based on hire status. Assist with administering staff group rosters, single sign-on credentials, and security configurations to assure new employees have seamless access to the digital workspace on day one. Assist with password recoveries, MFA resets, and user access audits to maintain strict district-wide network safety. V. General Operational Responsibilities
Documentation:
Develop and maintain user documentation, training guides, and troubleshooting procedures for district personnel.
Data Privacy:
Maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive student and personnel records in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA standards. Perform other related systems, technical support, or data duties as assigned by the Senior SIS Administrator, Director of Technology, or CIO.
QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and training which would indicate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required. Technical certifications or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in system administration, database support, or IT customer service. Experience within a K-12 educational setting is highly preferred.
System Familiarity:
Prior experience using or supporting Student Information Systems (preferably PowerSchool), financial merchant platforms, or identity management tools (Active Directory/Google Workspace).
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Data Proficiency:
Strong skills in data analysis, including advanced Excel, CSV formatting, and basic data mapping (basic SQL queries are a plus).
Communication:
Excellent technical support and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear instructions for non-technical users. Attention to

High level of organizational skill and accuracy when managing large datasets and system permissions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary office work involving prolonged computer use. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. may be required.
Environmental Factors:
Standard office environment with occasional local travel to various district school sites.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
238 day contract, 8 hours per day Salary to be according to the current schedule 2.70 ratio 2025-2026 (FY26) YPS Support Pay Scales

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.
