Yes Pittsburgh Water is seeking an Asset Analyst in support of our strategic effort to expand our enterprise Asset Management Program. The position will collaborate across departments to implement best practices in asset management and assist with training on software programs used for asset management, such as GIS and Trimble Unity Maintain/Field (Cityworks). The Asset Analyst position will be responsible for working with field workers and management to develop and implement new processes within these systems to advance Pittsburgh Water's asset management goals. RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the ongoing use of Trimble Unity Maintain (Cityworks) through administration of the software as well as end-user training. Gather feedback and business requirements from end users and work with the Asset Management Program Manager to determine system or policy changes needed to improve asset management practices. Develop content to promote training efforts such as Standard Operating Procedures, training documents/tutorials, and other content as needed. Perform data quality checks to ensure data collected by Trimble Unity users supports Pittsburgh Water's long-term asset management goals. Perform field work using tools such as ESRI Field Maps to catalog Pittsburgh Water's assets. Update asset management records to include historic documents, product manuals, and vendor invoices to ensure Pittsburgh Water has complete information about assets managed in Trimble Unity Maintain. Research best practices in asset management and stay informed on new advances in the asset management space that can be applied to Pittsburgh Water's initiatives. Collaborate with the Asset Management Program Manager on the development of a Strategic Asset Management Plan and keep the Plan updated as changes are made. Assist with data input to track Pittsburgh Water projects in Trimble Unity Maintain. Work with vendors to provide feedback on needed enhancements and technical issues to ensure technology tools support Pittsburgh Water's needs. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of GIS tools as well as experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System are strongly preferred. Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and asset management principles into easy-to-understand language. Exceptional interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with end users of Trimble Unity Maintain (Cityworks), from executive leadership to front-line workers. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and concurrent tasks at once while remaining flexible to changing requirements and priorities. Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, manage time to ensure deadlines are consistently met, and produce results under tight deadlines. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted. Bachelor's degree in GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science or related discipline preferred. Three (3) years of relevant professional experience; two (2) years of experience using core software tools used for asset management, such as GIS or CMMS software, preferred. Experience and exposure to drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors (e.g., treatment, distribution and collection systems, utility management, sustainability, conservation, etc.) or government sector work preferred. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must present a current, valid Class C (Class 1) PA Motor Vehicle Operator's License at the time of application or prior to appointment. A valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment. Applicant must have permanent residency within one of the following Pennsylvania counties at the time of appointment and remain a resident within one of the noted counties throughout employment with the Pittsburgh Water:
Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Indiana, Washington, or Westmoreland. SUPERVISION EXERCISED / RECEIVED

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a moderate or quiet noise level in the office work environment. The employee will frequently travel to different sites during all seasons to perform duties.
