Consulting Architect / Technical Design Lead Outfit Home is a residential interior design studio based in East Los Angeles. We are seeking an experienced architect or senior technical designer to work with our team on a consulting basis approximately two days per week. This role is ideal for a creative architect that enjoys creative design and helping translate design intent into clear, buildable construction documentation. We are looking for a practitioner with deep knowledge of residential architecture, millwork design, furniture detailing, and construction documentation. Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee millwork and furniture drawings
• Review and refine drawing sets produced by the design team
• Ensure drawing packages clearly communicate design intent and construction requirements
• Review plans and details before they are issued to architects, consultants, contractors, and fabricators
• Establish drawing standards and improve consistency across project documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers
• Assist with architectural detailing and coordination throughout project development
• Identify potential construction, coordination, or documentation issues before they reach the field
• Support the team in developing a stronger understanding of architectural processes and best practices Ideal Candidate
• Licensed architect or highly experienced architectural professional
• Significant experience in residential architecture and custom interiors
• Strong understanding of millwork construction, cabinetry, furniture detailing, and fabrication processes
• Ability to produce and review detailed sections, elevations, and construction details
• Deep familiarity with how custom cabinetry and architectural millwork are actually built
• Experience coordinating with contractors, fabricators, and consultants
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
