Florida State College at Jacksonville seeks an Engineer V in Jacksonville, FL to Configure, maintain, and optimize Unix environments for ERP systems, databases, and online learning systems; Architect, install, and customize system software to support college-wide information resources; Design, modify, develop, and implement software applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems; Conduct software testing, including test analysis, review, witnessing, and certification; Provide technical expertise and support for complex projects, acting as a top-level contributor and consultant; Analyze and evaluate business systems to align them with institutional strategies, documenting user needs and program functions. Position requires Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or closely related field or foreign educational equivalent. Position requires 12 months of work experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Analyst, or closely related. Required 12 months of work experience must include: Analyzing business systems and user needs to design and implement solutions; Designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications based on business requirements; Utilizing expertise in ERP technologies, SQL, Oracle, and PeopleSoft database programming; Developing applications and reports within PeopleSoft HCM and Financials; Maintaining PeopleSoft HCM and Financials production environment, applying patch updates, and resolving technical issues. May work remotely or telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
