Position Summary The IT Database Analyst II plays a critical role in transforming complex application and system data into clear, actionable insights that support business operations and decision making. This position focuses on analyzing multiple data sources, ensuring data quality, and delivering reliable reports and analytical products with minimal supervision. In this role, you will work closely with management and business users to understand requirements, develop datasets, and improve reporting processes. Your work will directly impact how teams understand system performance, application usage, and operational trends. Key Responsibilities- Manage, analyze, and validate data received from multiple systems and applications
- Prepare, develop, and analyze recurring and ad hoc reports for internal and customer use
- Generate statistical and analytical reports related to application utilization and user experience
- Develop and optimize databases, queries, routines, and automated reporting processes
- Design and document methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products
- Identify data inconsistencies or process issues and collaborate with business users to resolve them
- Communicate findings and insights clearly through reports, presentations, and verbal summaries
- Support and evaluate new data sources, analytical tools, and reporting technologies Key Requirements
- Four or more years of experience as a Database Analyst or Data Analyst in an IT-focused environment
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education and professional experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced analysis, and VBA macros
- Hands-on experience with MS SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
- Proficiency with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI for data integration and reporting
- Experience with R, Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Fabric, or similar tools preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
