Job Description We are looking for a Workday Specialists that can lead and support an enterprise insurance company. In this role you will be responsible for making sure that 35 benefits invoices get processed and paid accurately each month. We need support around HCM / Payroll as it relates to Workday. Other responsibilities will include the following: Workday Configuration — Configure, update, and maintain Workday HCM and Payroll business processes, including hire, termination, compensation changes, time tracking, and payroll workflows. Ensure all changes follow governance and testing protocols. Payroll Processing — Support end‑to‑end payroll cycles: validate time entries, audit gross‑to‑net calculations, reconcile payroll results, and troubleshoot discrepancies before finalization. Data Integrity — Perform daily audits of employee records, job changes, compensation updates, and time data. Correct errors and partner with HR/Finance to maintain clean, accurate data. Issue Resolution — Serve as the first point of contact for Workday HCM/Payroll issues. Investigate tickets, replicate issues, identify root causes, and resolve or escalate as needed. Reporting & Analytics — Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and audit tools. Provide HR and Finance with actionable insights on headcount, payroll trends, compliance, and workforce metrics. Testing & QA — Execute unit testing, regression testing, and UAT for Workday releases, enhancements, and integrations. Document results and ensure smooth deployment. Compliance Monitoring — Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Monitor tax updates, garnishments, wage laws, and Workday regulatory releases. Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to support business needs, resolve integration issues, and improve processes. Security Administration — Maintain Workday security roles, troubleshoot access issues, and ensure proper segregation of duties. Documentation — Maintain SOPs, configuration documentation, payroll calendars, and change logs to support audit readiness and operational continuity. - 4+ years of Workday implementation experience
- Experience with Workday HCM Certification
- Experience with Workday Payroll / Benefits knowledge (in order to validate accuracy of benefits invoices each month)
- Ability to answer queries in Workday related to benefits invoicing
- Ability to upload Excel (EIB file) into Workday (training will be provided if no experience is available
- Experience managing tickets both technically and functionally
- Understand how to resolve all tickets in queue and provide update to customers
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experience working in this industry
