Pay Range:
$69,800.00 - $114,800.00
Target Salary Range:
$100,000 - 140,000 Placement within the salary range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Workday Analyst to lead complex Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives and deliver high-impact solutions that enhance HR operations. The senior analyst will provide strategic guidance, oversee configurations, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and mentor junior team members. This role requires deep functional expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of HR processes and Workday capabilities. This position reports into our Senior Manager, HR Operations & HRIS and is available as a fully remote or hybrid (Minneapolis) opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday Payroll and Time & Absence modules. Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and translate them into Workday solutions. Manage and execute full lifecycle Workday implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements. Provide strategic input on best practices, architecture, and governance of Workday HR modules. Lead workshops and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior analysts and cross-functional project team members. Develop and oversee testing strategies including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Ensure alignment of Workday configurations with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. Collaborate closely with Workday technical teams to ensure seamless integrations, data migrations, and reporting solutions. Prepare and deliver training materials and sessions for HR and administrative users. Investigate and resolve high-priority functional issues and system disruptions. Stay abreast of Workday product updates, HR trends, and compliance changes to proactively recommend system enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in Workday functional consulting focused on HR/HCM modules. Proven track record of leading complex Workday implementations or major projects. Deep expertise in Workday Payroll, Time & Absence and related HR processes. Strong understanding of HR business operations, employment laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience mentoring and developing junior team members. Proficient in testing methodologies and managing testing phases. Workday certification(s) in relevant HR modules strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working in diverse industry sectors. Knowledge of Workday security roles and data privacy principles. Experience with change management and end-user training initiatives.
