Position Summary Position Summary:
Technical Analyst 1 will assist in overseeing daily technology needs for the Finance Services and Human Resources divisions. Resolves routine to moderately complex problems. Serves as a technical resource to users/departments in deriving needs assessments, proposals, implementing requests, and solutions. May supervise or provide functional directions to support staff and/or student employees. The ideal candidate will have a combination of effective communication, technical, and organizational skills; excellent problem-solving skills; and solid customer support skills to support a diverse customer base. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by the department. Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check prior to starting work. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications Proficient in Windows/Macintosh administration, troubleshooting, and basic project management. Experience with Active Directory groups and user access. Knowledge of Endpoint Life Cycle Management with experience in using Intune and JAMF to image, deploy, and secure endpoint devices. Ability to provide Tier 1/2 technical support, coordinating help desk operations to resolve staff technical issues. Effective communication for interacting with various departments, including the ability to train staff on new systems, troubleshoot software issues, and manage user access. Experience in inventory management of computers and related equipment Ability to write processes and procedures, create training materials, and keep them up to date. Ability to handle stress and shifting priorities. Understanding of data security and privacy regulations. Knowledge of UNM IT standard operating procedures.
